Improvers<\/p>\n
\u2022 The Improvers Worship Guitar Course follows on from the Beginners. In the first few sessions the entire of the Beginners course is revised.
\n \u2022 We then go on to look at \u2018bar\u2019 chords (and how to avoid them) and the concept of moving chord shapes up and down the fret board, all demonstrated with appropriate songs.
\n \u2022 7th chords are studied.
\n \u2022 The mysteries of \u201cpedal notes\u201d are explained!
\n \u2022 On the Improvers Worship Guitar Course transposition and the use of capos are examined and the course looks at transposing songs from \u201cimpossible\u201d to \u201cguitar friendly\u201d keys.
\n \u2022 Rhythm exercises become more complex and funky; a number of worship songs that use more complicated rhythm patterns are added to the repertoire. Students also begin to learn to use finger-picking patterns.
\n \u2022 By the end of this level students a further twenty-four worship songs are added to the repertoire including songs by Tim Hughes, Matt Redman, Brian Doerkson and Martin Smith.
\n \u2022 By the end of the 10 sessions improvers worship course guitarists can continue to lead worship songs in the context of a home group. It is possible that more diligent students could begin to play in a church group and be able to make a contribution to the musical life of their church.
